Our mobile service
Why not book us for half a day?
We come to you and provide residents with gentle, individual sessions focused on relaxation, comfort and general wellbeing with each treatment adapted to the individual resident and your normal care and consent procedures.
Residents are booked into agreed time slots with a short changeover period between appointments where required. Before the treatment, the practitioner would speak with the resident and follow the home’s agreed procedures to establish whether the treatment is appropriate.
The nature and intensity of the treatment would be adapted to the individual resident. Treatment would only take place with appropriate consent and where there are no identified reasons why massage would be unsuitable.
The service is intended to complement the home’s existing wellbeing and activity programme, rather than replace existing clinical, physiotherapy or healthcare provision.
Particular care would be taken when working with older adults and residents who have complex health needs. If there is any doubt about whether massage is appropriate for an individual resident, treatment would not proceed until the appropriate advice or clearance had been obtained in accordance with the home’s procedures.
Copies of relevant certificates and insurance documentation can be supplied before the first clinic. The practitioner would comply with the home’s requirements relating to external practitioners, infection prevention, safeguarding, confidentiality, record keeping and resident consent.
We would need the following from the home:
- A suitable quiet/private area in which to see residents.
- A member of staff who can act as the main contact for arranging appointments.
- Assistance identifying residents for whom the service may be appropriate.
- Relevant information, in accordance with the home’s procedures, where a resident’s health or circumstances could affect whether treatment is appropriate.
- Agreement on consent, safeguarding, infection-control and record-keeping procedures before the first clinic.
- Where necessary, assistance with residents travelling safely to and from the treatment area.
