Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book an appointment?

You can book through our online booking system, by phone or by email. We recommend booking at least one week in advance for weekend appointments.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24-hour notice for cancellations. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are non-refundable and the appointment cannot be rescheduled.

What conditions can sports massage help with?

Sports massage may* help with: general aches and pains, post-exercise recovery, delayed onset muscle soreness, reduced range of motion, (migraine – indian head massage), repetitive strain from work or sport, neck pain, back pain, glute pain, frozen shoulder, sciatica, tennis elbow, runner’s knee, golfer’s elbow, plantar fasciitis, IT band syndrome, calf strains, hamstring injuries, quadriceps tightness and more.. *We cannot guarantee specific outcomes but if you have any of the above conditions then we hope to provide some relief.

What if I don’t play sport, can I still have the treatment?

Yes – you don’t need to be an active to benefit from sports massage. Whether you’re dealing with muscle tension from sitting at a desk all day, have a physically demanding job, or simply feel stiff and sore, sports massage can help reduce tension, improve movement, and support your overall wellbeing.

What products do you use?

We use natural aromatherapy massage oils from a UK based supplier called ‘naturally thinking’. Should the client have any allergies we would use grapeseed oil.

What results can I expect?

The services we offer fall into the category of ‘complementary therapies’ i.e. they can be used alongside conventional medical care to support health and well-being; results can vary, and due to the nature of ‘complementary therapies’ we cannot guarantee outcomes. On our home page we have highlighted the potential benefits of our treatments. The only way to experience the effects yourself is to come try and find out for yourself. Our services are not intended to replace treatment offered by your GP / Consultant or other Health Care Professionals.

What do I wear during a treatment?

For sports massage, some clients like to wear shorts but this is not mandatory. You will be draped with a towel if needed, to protect your modesty. For Indian head massage, loose-fitting clothing around the neck and shoulders is ideal. For reiki, you remain fully clothed. Please remove jewellery / your watch before your appointment.
